What is thematic investing? ▾

Thematic investing starts with a business or macro narrative — such as AI infrastructure, energy security, or reshoring — and identifies the companies exposed to that narrative, often across more than one sector or industry.

How is a theme different from a sector? ▾

A sector is a broad classification like "Industrials." A theme connects companies by a shared exposure: drone suppliers, power-grid equipment, or memory chips may sit in different sectors but belong to the same investable story.
